Emily Kuchar and Kansas City Royal's hurler Zach Greinke will be tying the knot soon.

Kuchar, a former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader and professional model (you can see her website here), seems to be helping the pitcher settle into the routine of being one of the more-hyped pitchers in the MLB currently.

His family is very supportive and so is Emily Kuchar, his girlfriend since his high school days.
"She's as sweet as it gets," he said. "She's like the sweetest girl I've ever met. She's beautiful. Really, it doesn't get any better."

Finally, Greinke's trademark honesty was at its entertaining best when he was asked the only question that really matters in Wisconsin. Are you with the Pack or against them?

With your wife being a former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, does that mean you won't be a Packer fan?: "Actually, she doesn't like the Cowboys. She did then but now she doesn't for some reason. I've never been a Green Bay fan, though. Sorry about that. I like Aaron Rodgers for fantasy as a quarterback, but he got drafted too high in our league this year. I almost worked out a trade for him and Greg Jennings, but it fell through."

Big hockey news coming from up north. The Oilers Octane cheerleading group made their debut on Tuesday, becoming the first Canadian cheer team in NHL history. Judging by this photo from Tuesday's game, it might take some time for the Edmonton fans to get used to having attractive women perform in front of them.

The Edmonton Oilers announced today the launch of the first-ever Canadian NHL Cheer Team called the Oilers Octane. The Oilers Octane consists of 19 women aged 18-29 who competed with over 100 talented dancers to earn a spot on Octane, to meet the team visit www.oilersoctane.com.

In addition to performing at Oilers home games, helping with promotions and interacting with fans, the Cheer Team will soon begin participating in charity fund raising and special events throughout Oil Country acting as ambassadors for Edmonton and your Oilers Hockey Club.
