Some Lament Cheerleaders At IPL Cricket Matches



This year was the inaugural season for IPL Cricket, which is a more TV friendly game of cricket. Here are thoughts from two sources on the use of cheerleaders at the game.

The cricket lovers will look forward to cricket sans the cheerleaders and the incidental gimmicks but the enthusiasm of the public will be no less than it was during the IPL.

Firstly, get rid of the bloody cheerleaders. Dancing girls were introduced to entertain Americans in the interminable breaks in their football games so that the fans didn’t forget why they were there and decide to go home. There is absolutely no need to have them shake their over-stuffed money-makers every time a boundary is scored. And don’t get me started on the male cheerleaders.
