Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins Talks Kendall Wheeler On To Dating Show

Miss Universe and former Newcastle Knights Cheerleader, Jennifer Hawkins, talked her former cheerleading teammate, Kendall Wheeler, into participating on a tv dating show called, Dating in the Dark Australia.

FORMER Newcastle Knights cheerleader Kendall Wheeler is among the contestants on a new dating show that premieres on television tonight.
But it was another Miss Universe, Jennifer Hawkins, who gave Wheeler the confidence to sign on for the reality show.


‘‘I saw the whole process of Jenny learning the ropes on television. Her advice would be to ‘be yourself and have fun’.’’

Wheeler danced with the Knights squad for seven years alongside pal Hawkins and the pair regularly catch in Sydney.



Twenty-six year-old Wheeler, who moved to Sydney two weeks ago to work in advertising, decided to go on the reality show following the end of her long-term relationship.

‘‘I always wanted to have a go at reality and I wanted to experience some dates,’’ she told The Word.

‘‘At least I can now say I’ve dated in the extreme.’’


Wheeler, who models part-time, returned from the United States last month where she attended Halloween at the Playboy Mansion.

She cannot reveal the outcome of her episode but admitted sparks flew with one of the male contestants.
